Unseen footage: CM Punk seen limping backstage at RAW

CM Punk reflected on his Hell in a Cell match with Drew McIntyre during his opening promo on this week's RAW. He informed fans that he is still feeling the effects of what transpired inside The Devil's Playground this past Saturday and that it will take a while before he steps back in the ring.

Before he walked out of the arena, Seth Rollins interrupted and had a brief staredown, signaling The Straight Edge Superstar's next program when the latter is ready to go.

WWE has now shared a clip on Instagram of CM Punk, as he is seen limping backstage while Seth Rollins made his way to the ring. A return timeline for Punk has not been disclosed yet.

Drew McIntyre was not part of the show this week. He is reportedly injured after needing 16 staples. Just like Punk, The Scottish Warrior's return timeline is not clear. Meanwhile, the red brand has become a two-hour show, beginning from this past Monday.

CM Punk wants to wrestle WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin

CM Punk vs. Stone Cold is one of the biggest dream matches for over a decade. Now, it seems like a more plausible scenario than ever before.

Speaking to The Masked Man Show during Fanatics Fest NYC, The Best in the World admitted that there is an interest in the potential match, but at the end of the day, it is up to the Hall of Famer:

"That would be up to Steve [Austin]. It's not up to me. I think he had a pretty good return. Came back, main evented WrestleMania. At this point, his six shooters might be buried in the Nevada desert. If he wants to dig them up, I'm your huckleberry. It should've happened ten-plus years ago, but if he wants to go to sleep, he can call me," Punk said.

The Straight Edge Superstar also most recently shared an anecdote about the time he suggested an idea to Steve Austin, which the latter was excited to execute. This was during his first stint with the Stamford-based promotion, which ended in 2014.
