WWE kicked off the tour of Japan with a live event in Osaka on Thursday, July 25, featuring top names such as Jey Uso in action. The show also saw Damian Priest tease his babyface turn as he helped the former Bloodline member get back on his feet after their match.

Jey Uso has been thriving as a singles star since leaving his family and moving over to the red brand. The record-breaking WWE Tag Team Champion has featured in multiple high-profile matches, including world title bouts at premium live events.

The former Bloodline member was also in action at WWE's latest live event in Osaka, where he challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship. However, he once again failed to reign supreme as Priest retained his gold days before his match against Gunther at SummerSlam 2024.

While The Judgment Day member has been a heel since February 28, 2022, he has been leaning towards a face turn in the last few weeks. He teased the same after his match against Jey, as he helped the latter get back on his feet after defeating him. The duo went on to do Jey's signature 'Yeet' celebration afterward.

Damian Priest turned heel in February 2022 when he attacked Finn Balor after losing the United States Championship to him. The duo has come a long way since then and is now part of the same faction. However, WWE has been teasing tension between them for the past several months, and many believe that The Prince could soon betray his stablemate.

Rikishi is not impressed with WWE's current booking of Jey Uso

Jey Uso recently got involved in The Judgment Day business as he hinted at pursuing a romantic relationship with Rhea Ripley following Mami's issues with Dominik Mysterio.

On his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi slammed his son's creative direction, noting that WWE should be doing something better with him.

"SummerSlam, where's [Jey Uso] at? I don't know, let's write him in that he likes Mami. Mami? That's the best that those writers got? Let's write this guy into a relationship with Mami? What are you trying to do; break his marriage up? Y'all can't put him in a good storyline, so what [are] you gonna do now? God forbid you guys try to tell him, or tell her, 'Tounge ki** each other on RAW.' Sh**. That better not happen," Rikishi said.

Jey Uso is expected to get involved in the Bloodline storyline again after Roman Reigns potentially makes his return. Solo Sikoa has currently taken over the heel faction, removing Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman from the group.
