TNA just sent a message to WWE. This happened after there was a blockbuster tease to close out NXT Heatwave.

WWE has been building a relationship with TNA in recent months. It started at the Royal Rumble this year when Jordynne Grace was a surprise participant. A few months later, Grace again appeared on NXT TV to challenge Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Championship.

WWE has also sent some of its talent to TNA. Tatum Paxley showed up and challenged Jordynne Grace for the TNA Knockouts World Championship a few weeks ago. Even recently, Charlie Dempsey showed up on NXT and wreaked havoc, and it looks like there might be more crossovers in store.

Tonight on NXT Heatwave, Trick Williams attempted to defend his NXT Championship against Ethan Page, Je'Von Evans, and Shawn Spears. All four men put on a stellar contest that ended with Page as the new NXT Champion. Following this win, the show surprisingly closed out with the trademark Joe Hendry meme.

TNA was quick to catch hold of this clip and sent a message to the Stamford-based promotion indicating that Joe Hendry could show up on NXT.

"Say his name, and he appears at #NXTHeatwave! @joehendry"

Check out his tweet here:

It will be interesting to see whether there could be more crossovers between TNA and World Wrestling Entertainment in the near future.
