Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson rocked the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, with an unannounced appearance this past Saturday. It was at the Bad Blood PLE's return after two decades.

The event featured a Hell in a Cell match, fitting the long-standing rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. But it did not close the event as per tradition. Instead, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns did, as they teamed up for the first time. WWE Hall of Famer Booker T noted ahead of the show how this was a huge spot for The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, who were wrestling two of the biggest stars in the industry today.

After Bad Blood, though, Booker pointed to how everything that transpired in the main event did not matter because all anybody was going to talk about was the return of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast, he presented it in a positive light, acknowledging that he enjoyed the unannounced appearance by The Final Boss:

"The one thing, in a match like that right there, it really wouldn't have mattered if I watched the match, if that would have happened at the end. Because that's the only thing I would have remembered." [From 27:49 to 28:00]

The Rock did not utter a word after surprising the Atlanta crowd. Evidently, he was back for The American Nightmare, but at the same time, appeared not too pleased with the turn of events as the latter and Roman Reigns united, albeit briefly.

Booker T assumed The Rock vs. Cody Rhodes was "dead" prior to WWE Bad Blood

Although The Final Boss guaranteed in April 2024 that he woule return to claim the Undisputed WWE Championship, the truth of the matter is, storylines can often just fizzle out.

Booker T mentioned how it could have happened even in this case if Dwayne Johnson was caught up with other projects. However, his comeback has made the potential match between him and Cody Rhodes intriguing. Booker credited Johnson for his "dedication" to the wrestling business:

"It keeps the story going. I thought the story was, perhaps dead, you know? You never know if a story like that is gonna keep going, because Rock's got so much going. He's got so much on his plate. But still, still being one dedicated to the biz," Booker said. [From 29:43 to 29:58]

Post-show, The Rock even cut a promo on social media. Whether he will make more appearances in 2024, perhaps as early as this Friday's SmackDown, remains to be seen.
