The Miz and R-Truth finally faced each other in the ring after the former betrayed the latter a few weeks ago. While the match ended with neither wrestler throwing a single punch, The A-Lister went ahead and planted Truth on the canvas with a Skull Crushing Finale. Now, the 44-year-old star has opened up on the real reason behind viciously attacking his former ally despite the referee ringing the bell.

The match saw R-Truth wearing The Awesome Truth vest and extending his hand for a shake. The Miz shook hands to begin the fight, but The Final Testament walked near the ring before they could trade blows. While The A-Lister was distracted, Truth rolled him up for a pin and won the match, hugging his opponent and the referee in celebration.

However, Karrion Kross did not allow the winner to walk away without a real fight and tossed him back in the ring. In a shocking act, The Miz delivered his finisher and flattened Truth. Following this, Jackie Redmond spoke to The A-Lister and asked for his comments on the matter on RAW Talk. Bursting with anger, the former World Tag Team Champion explained why he attacked Truth.

"I shook hand, Jackie. I shook his hand. He extended his hand. I waited. I looked at what he was thinking. I saw in his eyes. He meant it. I looked at the audience. The audience said, 'Shake his hand.' I shook his hand. I looked him in the eye, said okay, let's do this match. You know what's gonna happen. We're gonna blow the roof off of in St. Louis and then we're gonna go our separate ways. You're gonna go do your comedy stuff and I'm gonna go back to being the Grand Slam Champion that I am," The Miz said.

While The Miz said that he had good intentions and wanted a fair fight, he mentioned he was shocked by Truth's sneaky pinfall. Moreover, he also exposed the latter's "good guy" act:

"And what happened Jackie? I shook his hand he got me? Is that what a good guy does, Jackie? There's someone outside. Did I think Karrion Kross was gonna come out? No! He rolls me up; one, two, three? I shook his hand!"

While The Miz is very angry right now, R-Truth still seems to think that they are friends. He even said that The A-Lister was actually fighting in his corner and not against him, and he does not remember who attacked him.

It would be interesting to see what the future has in store for both stars after this turn of events.
