The Apex Predator sends a warning to 20-year-old WWE star seconds after labelling him "The next Randy Orton"

Randy Orton is set to compete against a young WWE star next week on NXT. He even sent a warning to this young star tonight. This would be Je'Von Evans from NXT.

Tonight, NXT debuted on the CW Network with a spectacle of a show featuring special appearances from CM Punk and The Miz. Shawn Michaels also unveiled the new NXT and NXT Women's Championships at the start of the show. NXT has another big show planned for next week as well. The event is set to take place in St. Louis, Missouri. Given that St. Louis is Randy Orton's hometown, The Viper is set to make an appearance and even compete against Je'Von Evans on the show.

Tonight, a vignette played on NXT promoting this match. During the vignette, Orton had a message for his opponent. The Viper stated that he has been hearing that Je'Von Evans could be "the next Randy Orton" and wanted to test him. He also said that he wants to see if he can hit Evans with an RKO.

"All I've been hearing about is how amazing he is in the ring, how one day he could possibly be, in his own way, the next Randy Orton. I want to test his mettle. I want to see what he's made of. He's gonna have the odds stacked against him but who knows? This could be the match that makes Je'Von Evans the number-one prospect in NXT... But I also have an ulterior motive. It will be interesting to see how Je'Von Evans fares in a match against a veteran like The Viper.
