Cody Rhodes' alliance with Roman Reigns hasn't exactly made everyone happy despite the box office potential. After Randy Orton confronted him about it this week on SmackDown, subtle tensions emerged.

This week on SmackDown, Randy Orton opened the show and asked Cody Rhodes about his alliance with Roman Reigns. Cody said that he would have to take Roman Reigns at his word.

Kevin Owens would also come out, and so did The Bloodline. Once things got tense, KO would openly choose Randy Orton over Cody Rhodes to face The Bloodline' Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu for the main event of SmackDown - a subtle tease of dissent between the babyfaces:

Kevin Owens's decision to pick Randy Orton without hesitation reflects how he truly feels about the Cody-Roman alliance. Owens was asked about it last week but never had the opportunity to give his honest thoughts.

Even this week, he may not have outright given his thoughts on the matter, but the response and choice of Randy Orton say everything you need to know. Either way, the tag team match was made official for the main event of SmackDown.

Sikoa and Jacob Fatu could be headlining Bad Blood 2024.
