WWE RAW has some excellent storylines that have made the show a must-watch affair for the fans. Eric Bischoff recently talked about a rivalry that took matters to an entirely different level.

Drew McIntyre and CM Punk lit up WWE Bad Blood with the first match of the night. They competed in a Hell in a Cell contest that became an instant classic because of both men’s incredible work in the ring.

The rivalry likely came to an end after Punk picked up the win. However, McIntyre’s future is still unclear as The Scottish Warrior lived up to his name and braved many injuries to put on an incredible performance.

Speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, Eric Bischoff stated that the match started slow for him. However, he was glued to his screen as the action picked up and the Hall of Famer loved the ending of the contest.

"Drew is unbelievable. The drama, the pacing, it just allowed you to start feeling what he was feeling, or portraying he was feeling," Bischoff said. "He did it so effectively, you just get sucked into the drama. Oftentimes, people talk about the story in the match, and I've come to learn, because of social media, 'story' means a million different things to people. (...) But, the story, the drama, and you could sum it all up just to say one word: Emotion. (...) I get excited when I see evolution in the way the property, the way the product is presented and I'm seeing like f*****g Steven Spielberg-level s**t going on underneath our nose."

Bischoff also praised Drew McIntyre’s work throughout the contest. He noted that the WWE stars put in the right effort and the emotion at the right time to ensure that the rivalry felt like a film production.

"When you start to see film type of production in wrestling, you know that you're knocking on the door of an entirely new level," Bischoff said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

WWE RAW has produced some top rivalries under Triple H. However, the rivalry between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has been off the charts as both men put in a lot of work and time to make it work.

WWE RAW has many more rivalries that are brewing up

Seth Rollins returned to WWE RAW to ignite a rivalry with Bronson Reed. He cost the big man his Last Monster Standing Match against Braun Strowman a couple of weeks ago.

Rollins will be hoping to get into the World Heavyweight Championship scene against Gunther soon. However, Reed could get back at Rollins and their rivalry could very well continue until Survivor Series.

Meanwhile, Raquel Rodriguez’ return has made matters worse for Rhea Ripley. She will have to work harder or find a partner to neutralize the threat and take away the Women’s World Title from Liv Morgan.

Another top rivalry that is waiting to happen is one between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The latter could turn heel very soon, and the two WWE stars could finally go head to head.
