Former WWE Champion Sheamus competed in a singles match on this week's RAW. The Celtic Warrior recently shared a social media update, reacting to a major change that happened on the show.

The 46-year-old locked horns with former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed. The two put forth a highly entertaining back-and-forth contest, which saw The Irishman emerge victorious. After the match, the veteran's former stablemate, Pete Dunne, came out to save the veteran from Reed's attack. However, in a shocking turn of events, the former NXT UK Champion started assaulting the former leader of The Brawling Brutes.

Earlier on the show, Sheamus made his way to the ring to a new entrance music. He recently took to social media to reshare the video of his entrance from last night posted by WWE's official X/Twitter account. He further asked the fans about their thoughts on his new theme.

"New tune "Ten Beats of the Bodhrán" - Banger Yay or Nay?" he wrote.

WWE veteran opens up about Sheamus' return from injury

Sheamus returned from injury in April 2024 after being out of action for nearly eight months due to multiple injuries. His last match before going into a hiatus was against Edge on the August 18, 2023, edition of Friday Night SmackDown. It was also the latter's last in-ring appearance in WWE before he joined AEW.

During a conversation on 83 Weeks, WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff opened up about the former world champion's return from injury. The 69-year-old mentioned it would have been great to have built a story for the latter leading to WrestleMania XL. But, he is still hopeful that the latter would be part of a major storyline on The Road to the next year's Show of Shows.

"He has been off long enough that he is like the 'absence makes the heart grow fonder factor' has kicked it; it feels fresh. Yeah, would it have been nice if Sheamus had a story starting six months or a year ago, or perhaps it would have built to WrestleMania? Sure, that would have been nice. But if I'm Sheamus right now, I'm looking at what happens to me over the next 12 months. What am I going to be doing looking forward to the next WrestleMania because he has got a clear runway, and he's got some support behind him," he said.

The Celtic Warrior has had issues with multiple WWE Superstars following his return, including Drew McIntyre, Ludwig Kaiser, Bron Breakker, and more. However, it remains to be seen how he responds to the beating he received at the hands of his former stablemate.
