The current United States Champion Austin Theory touched a wrong nerve of Sheamus that backfired on him on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown.

Theory said that coming to the blue brand last week differed from what he expected. The 25-year-old star expected some respect, but instead, he was ganged up on by two former world champions, Bobby Lashley and Sheamus.

The US Champion shared that The All Mighty was jealous of him, but he didn't understand his issues with The Celtic Warrior. Austin Theory added that The Brawling Brutes member and he shares one common accolade: beating John Cena.

However, according to Theory, the difference between their accomplishments was that he defeated Cena this year, and Sheamus' victory was decades ago, which is irrelevant to its roots.

Before the 25-year-old star could continue his trash-talk, the former WWE Champion bargained his way into the ring. The Celtic Warrior sent a message to the champ, taking him down with a Brogue Kick before walking away.

A few moments later on the show, WWE announced that The Brawling Brutes member would take on Theory for the United States Championship on Friday Night SmackDown next week.
