Teddy Long worked as a manager, on-screen authority figure, and referee during his WWE Hall of Fame career. The 76-year-old still watches the current product and recently gave his thoughts on Kayla Braxton's WWE exit.

Braxton, real name Kayla Becker, spent almost eight years in WWE before leaving the company in June. The 33-year-old is best known for hosting The Bump and Talking Smack. She also featured prominently on SmackDown as an interviewer.

Long spoke to legendary reporter Bill Apter and host Mac Davis on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine. Asked about Braxton's departure, he only had positive things to say about the former WWE personality:

"Yeah, I met her last time I was there and met her a couple of times when I did go back," Long said. "You guys are absolutely right. She is absolutely great at what she does, and what I think has happened for her is because she's been on that TV doing a great job and somebody has seen her, so I think she's moving on to bigger and better things." Mac Davis echoes Teddy Long's thoughts on life after WWE

In a recent interview on The Ring Generals, Kayla Braxton revealed she rejected WWE's offer to become a commentator. She also explained that she wants to advance in other areas outside the wrestling business.

Mac Davis believes WWE provides the perfect platform for Braxton and other talents to show what they can do on television:

"The one thing about WWE for a lot of the talent, especially the young talent, is that can be a springboard for other types of opportunities outside WWE, and if they can shine in WWE what a great place to get a platform and put yourself out there." [6:50 – 7:05]

In July, Braxton announced she has already appeared in a movie since her WWE departure was confirmed.
