There was a cloud of uncertainty surrounding two WWE Superstars owing to their devastating health state. Fortunately, they got better.

The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar, formerly Viking Raiders) quietly resurfaced on Monday Night RAW this week, immediately becoming a formidable foe to The Judgment Day. They defeated Alpha Academy's Otis and Akira Tozawa in their return match. Aside from them reverting to their previous gimmick, another noteworthy aspect was the absence of Valhalla.

Taking to Instagram, Valhalla, real name Sarah Rowe, shared an image of The War Raiders on RAW. She is currently inactive as she is bearing the child of Erik, real name Raymond Rowe Jr.:

The Judgment Day's Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh have been World Tag Team Champions on the red brand for over 100 days. However, they have only defended the belts once thus far. Whether The War Raiders will dethrone them or not bears watching, but they have established their position in the tag team division already with an emphatic win this past Monday.

When Ivar said Erik's in-ring return would ruin his singles run in WWE

The War Raiders have been together since they signed with WWE in 2018, and even long before that while wrestling in the independent circuit.

Ivar, on the other hand, found reasonable success as a singles competitor after Erik got sidelined in late 2023. He wrestled against some top stars such as Sheamus, Sami Zayn, and Kofi Kingston, among others, and received loud reactions from live crowds and appreciation within the industry and fans.

While speaking about Erik's inevitable comeback to Chris Van Vliet, and how it will affect his singles career in WWE, Ivar admitted that the 40-year-old will ruin everything, as he did before when they were wrestling in Ring of Honor:

"I joke a lot about this. So we're in Ring of Honor, we got put as a team, we're catching fire, and then he gets in a motorcycle accident and tries to ruin my wrestling career. So now I got to do single stuff in Ring of Honor. So then I get a big push in Ring of Honor, I'm wrestling the main event of the pay-per-view for the title and he returns and tries to ruin my wrestling career again," said Ivar. "Yes, exactly, it's all over again, same thing."

It is not out of the question that WWE gives Ivar some opportunities as a singles competitor down the line. He has proved his worth with a lot of worthy performances earlier this year.
