At WWE Clash at the Castle: Scotland, Chad Gable once again failed to win the Intercontinental Championship. In the aftermath of the premium live event, Otis took to social media to send a cryptic message.

Gable has been feuding with Sami Zayn for months now. Post-WrestleMania XL, Master Gable turned heel and attacked Zayn after their singles match on RAW in Montreal. At the King and Queen of the Ring Premium Live Event, the former multi-time Tag Team Champion was unsuccessful in winning the Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat Match involving the champion, himself, and Bronson Reed.

At Clash at the Castle: Scotland, Otis briefly teased betraying the leader of The Alpha Academy, who insulted Maxxine Dupri in front of the WWE Universe yet again. Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old star sent a cryptic message by posting a caption-less photo of his confrontation with Gable from the PLE this past weekend.

Chad Gable has admitted that turning heel was his idea

Chad Gable opened up about his heel turn. After failing to win the Intercontinental Championship, he attacked Sami Zayn, cementing his heel turn in the process.

Speaking on The Gorilla Position, Gable discussed his previous losses to Gunther and how he failed to beat Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. He said he felt like he had flatlined as a babyface and it felt right to make the change when the red brand went to Montreal after WrestleMania XL.

"The whole idea to turn heel was kind of my idea. I felt like I flatlined as a babyface somewhere around WrestleMania. I came up short against Gunther a few times. Came up short against Sami. At a certain point, something has to change, or people are not going to buy into you any further. I had the idea, 'Let's do it!' It just so happened we were going to be in Montreal, Sami's hometown, the week after Mania when I was having that match. I was like, 'There could not be a better place to do this thing.' We made it happen and the stars aligned. I feel like it's worked out in our favor. Since then, Otis is this perfect sympathetic guy that you can't help but feel bad for. We have everything in our favor working for us," said Chad Gable.

It remains to be seen what plans Chad Gable has in store for this week's Monday Night RAW for Alpha Academy in the aftermath of the premium live event in Scotland.
