WWE SmackDown tonight is notable for one reason in particular. Tonight's show features the debut of The Grayson Waller Effect talk show on the main roster, and the Australian star will have AJ Styles on as the first guest.

Fans believe the upcoming segment will be a precursor to a potential full-fledged feud between Grayson Waller and the former WWE Champion.

Ever since moving to the blue brand, Grayson Waller has teased reigniting a rivalry with The Phenomenal One. If that wasn't enough, the Aussie most recently revealed that he wants a rematch because he can't stand the fact that Styles beat him. The two had previously wrestled on an episode of NXT last year in January.

AJ Styles and The OC were seen following The Phenomenal One's victory over Bobby Lashley in the show's main event last week. It will be interesting to see if Styles would bring Gallows, Anderson, and Mia Yim to The Grayson Waller Effect or if they are forced to get involved in some capacity.

Grayson Waller wanted a one-on-one match with WWE legend

The former NXT Superstar has largely impressed fans worldwide with his performances in the former black-and-gold brand, his feud with Shawn Michaels, and the Unsanctioned match against Johnny Gargano, coming to mind owing to recency.

During a recent interview with FOX Sports Australia, the Aussie revealed that he wished to face Shawn Michaels in a singles match. The Hall of Famer's on-screen rivalry with Waller ultimately led to the former bringing in Gargano to take him down:

"No one in recent years can say that they were in the ring with Shawn Michaels, even though it wasn’t in a wrestling capacity like I wanted. That’s one of the greatest of all time, and I was in there. And that doesn’t happen. So that was very big for me."

Grayson Waller vs. AJ Styles is a rivalry the WWE Universe can get behind, and it could be a solid program for SmackDown in the coming months.
