Oba Femi could lose his WWE title to 39-year-old star, predicts Chelsea Green

WWE Superstar Chelsea Green has shared her prediction on who could potentially dethrone Oba Femi for the NXT North American Championship. The former Women's Tag Team Champion revealed that her husband, Matt Cardona, could get the job done.

The 39-year-old performed under the Zack Ryder moniker in World Wrestling Entertainment. Many fans believed that Cardona would return to WWE after Green came back at Royal Rumble 2023. The former United States Champion, however, has made it clear that if he were to return to the Stamford-based promotion, he would come back with his heel Matt Cardona persona.

Meanwhile, Femi has been making headlines on the NXT brand ever since he captured the North American Title from Dragon Lee in January 2024. On the latest installment of the white and gold brand, the Nigerian star picked up a dominant win over Chase University's Duke Hudson.

Following the Tuesday night show, the official WWE NXT X (formerly Twitter) account asked fans who could dethrone the reigning North American Champion, Oba Femi. In response to the tweet, Chelsea Green suggested her husband, Matt Cardona, as the one who could take the coveted title away from the up-and-coming star.

Chelsea Green strives to be like former WWE Champion

The Hot Mess recently claimed that she wanted to be the female version of The Miz. The A-Lister has been in the Stamford-based promotion for almost twenty years and is a two-time Grand Slam Champion.

During an appearance on The Masked Man Show, Green revealed that she has strived to be like The Miz ever since she joined WWE. The former Women's Tag Team Champion said:

"I sat down, when I first got called up in 2019, I sat down and said, ‘I want to be the female Miz.’ A lot of people say I’m the female R-Truth. I want to be the female Miz. I want everything. I want you to put me in a movie, and you believe my acting and trust that I’m that character. I want to go out and put a celebrity over and make them look amazing and make them look like a star. I want to make you laugh. I want to do all those things."

On the internet, The Hot Mess has several times hinted that she wants Matt Cardona to return to World Wrestling Entertainment. It remains to be seen if Triple H and management have plans to bring him back for another run.
