Roman Reigns has used the spear as his finisher since debuting on WWE's main roster in 2012. Former WWE on-screen personality Teddy Long recently gave his thoughts on how the SmackDown star's move could become part of a storyline.

On September 23, Jey Uso defeated Bron Breakker on RAW to win the Intercontinental Championship. Like Reigns, both men often use the spear as part of their moveset.

Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine host Mac Davis speculated that WWE's higher-ups could take the spear away from Breakker. Long disagreed before suggesting a possible storyline between Breakker, Reigns, and Uso:

"Well, I don't think they're taking it away from him, you know what I mean? I agree with you. Too many people are using the spear, but that may be something that leads to that, you know what I mean? With all those guys. Breakker can always say that they took his move. You can put it in a storyline." [8:09 – 8:28]

Teddy Long explains how a new Roman Reigns feud could begin

While Adam Pearce calls the shots on RAW as the red brand's on-screen General Manager, Nick Aldis performs the same role on SmackDown.

Teddy Long thinks the two authority figures should discuss the spear and set up a cross-promotional rivalry:

"There should be some conflict there because you got three guys using the same finish, so certainly there should be some talk about that. Maybe the RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce, there, maybe he can do something about that, or Nick Aldis on SmackDown. Maybe that's something for him to do." [8:28 – 8:43]

In the immediate future, Roman Reigns' sights are set on the new version of The Bloodline on SmackDown. On October 5, he will team up with Cody Rhodes to face Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa at Bad Blood.
