Muhammad Hassan was one of WWE's most controversial characters under Vince McMahon's regime. The character brought an unfortunate end to Marc Copani's career as a professional wrestler in the industry. Recently, the star behind the character detailed his relationship with The Boss.

Muhammad Hassan was once one of the most despised characters on the weekly product. However, the star was able to rile the fans up and get the most loathed reactions, which pushed him further on the card as he had segments with several legends in the Stamford-based promotion.

However, the dream run ended in 2005 and Hassan was released from the company. Speaking on Maven's YouTube channel, the 44-year-old star detailed his relationship with Vince McMahon. He stated he never had an issue with McMahon as the character was his child and he was treated well backstage.

"Vince [McMahon] was always great to me too... And for everything that's happened afterward, I can't speak of. But when I was there at the time working with Vince, he was always good to me. My character was kind of like his baby. I remember flying on his personal jet going to like Buffalo... It was really cool but I never had any problem with him. He was always very open and accessible to me," Hassan said. [From 19:09 to 19:45]

Vince McMahon had major plans for Muhammad Hassan before his WWE release

Muhammad Hassan had a strong start in the Stamford-based promotion as Vince McMahon was heavily invested in the star. Hassan slowly climbed the ranks and had feuds with many notable names.

After losing his undefeated streak in singles action, he was drafted to WWE SmackDown and things took a darker turn for Hassan. A real-life tragedy forced the company to write Marc Copani out of storylines and abrupt release from the promotion.

However, there were plans for Muhammad Hassan to beat The Undertaker and capture the World Heavyweight Championship from Batista. Those plans were scrapped, according to Hassan, as he was released from WWE.
