The Motor City Machine Guns made an impactful debut on WWE SmackDown, and it's easy to say there's more to come from Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin in the coming weeks. Today, Sabin addressed his first win in the Stamford-based promotion and sent an emotional message.

Reports earlier this year indicated that The Motor City Machine Guns would be joining the Stamford-based promotion. However, it was unclear which brand they would debut, and some reports claimed they were headed to the developmental brand.

Luckily, those rumors were debunked, and The Guns made their way to Friday Night SmackDown. After securing their first win on the blue brand, Chris Sabin sent an emotional message on social media, reflecting on his debut and looking forward to what's next for MCMG.

MCMG are WWE Superstars. The journey started in 2006 with many highs and lows along the way. From being struggling tag team artists working to prove ourselves to inspiring and innovating an entire generation of tag team wrestling, everything has led to this. Thank you," Sabin wrote.

What did Motor City Machine Guns do on WWE SmackDown?

Ahead of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE uploaded a video where SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis introduced the fans to The Motor City Machine Guns. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley signed their contracts, and Aldis changed their scheduled match.

Initially, it was supposed to be Legado Del Fantasma's Angel and Berto vs. MCMG duo. However, Aldis decided to add A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory & Grayson Waller) and made it a Triple Threat Tag Team Match.

The stakes were also raised as winners of the match would face the winners of another Triple Threat tag to earn a shot at The Bloodline's WWE Tag Team Championship in the coming weeks.

The Motor City Machin Guns won their match, and #DIY won from the other bracket. The two teams will square off next week for a shot at Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa's title.
