Major WWE Superstar refuses to appear on SmackDown; shares one condition

This is quite the bold claim (Image via USANetwork)

It's been an interesting few weeks on SmackDown since the return of Roman Reigns. However, it seems that a former champion is unhappy with WWE announcers.

Chelsea Green recently took to social media to share a video of her name being announced 'wrong' at a recent WWE Live event. She then claimed that if this continued, she wouldn't be appearing on SmackDown.

The former Women's Tag Team Champion has become accustomed to being announced by Samantha Irvin, who has a special way to make her stand out. But it seems that this isn't possible for every announcer. SmackDown's Alicia Taylor would have to ensure she announces Green's name correctly this week if she wants the star to continue to be part of the show.

Green often complains about WWE officials and has caused issues for both Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis since she returned to the company last year. However, refusing to appear on a show is a new level for the 33-year-old.

Chelsea Green has had a rough few weeks on WWE SmackDown

Chelsea Green was expected to become Miss Money in the Bank at the namesake show but was thrown off a ladder and through a table by Tiffany Stratton. The Buff Barbie ultimately won the coveted contract in Canada.

Since the loss at Money in the Bank, Green's career has seemingly stagnated. She looked as though she had been pushing toward that win and then wasn't sure where to go after failing to accomplish her goal.

Chelsea Green still has Piper Niven in her corner, and if the duo wants to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Championship again, then that may be an option for them heading into Bash in Berlin. As of this writing, Green doesn't have anything to do on the show, but there are still two more SmackDowns ahead of the event.
