Major WWE Superstar claims he is no longer friends with Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes is reigning as the topmost champion in WWE, but his allies seem to be dwindling in the Stamford-based promotion if a major star's recent post is anything to go by. Shawn Spears hinted that his relationship with Rhodes might not be the same as before.

The two stars have a long history with each other, with The American Nightmare crediting the current NXT Superstar for helping him in the initial days of his pro wrestling career. The Undisputed WWE Champion even stated that he regretted not having Spears by his side in the ring after his WrestleMania XL triumph.

However, when an X user recently commented on Rhodes and Spears' close bond, the latter had a surprising response. Shawn Spears, in character, sarcastically claimed that he doesn't like The American Nightmare anymore.

"Nah, I don’t like him," tweeted Shawn Spears.

WWE legend could betray Cody Rhodes later this year, according to wrestling analyst

Speaking of a friend turning their back on Cody Rhodes, Sam Roberts predicted that Randy Orton is going to eventually turn heel and clash against the Undisputed WWE Champion, possibly at Survivor Series.

The wrestling personality also pitched a scenario in which Orton dethrones Rhodes before dropping the gold back to The American Nightmare.

"Randy [Orton] is going to eventually show his true colors. This is why when we get to WarGames I don't see Randy and Cody [Rhodes] being on the babyface team, because by the time we get to Survivor Series, I think you are looking at Randy vs. Cody. I think the idea of...maybe even Randy beating Cody Rhodes. Taking the title and then he can always switch it back to Cody Rhodes, you know, in a short period of time.
