Major WWE Superstar botched pin in SmackDown match; could lead to heel turn

This week's episode of WWE SmackDown had several high-profile matches including a Tornado Tag Team Match between Tiffany Stratton, Nia Jax, Naomi, and Bayley.

The match's finish was a controversial one since both Naomi and Bayley were able to pin Nia Jax, but Naomi's feet were under the rope whilst Nia's were on them. This wasn't actually a botch, as a Tornado Tag Team match doesn't include rope breaks, which means that this is allowed. Additionally, the referee was looking right at Naomi when she was under the rope, proving that this was within the rules.

An interesting moment to note is during the pin, when Bayley looks directly at Naomi and is aware that she is pinning Jax too, but does nothing about it. The two women had proved earlier in the match that they wanted this title shot enough to drag each other away from pinfall attempts, which means that she should have reacted to kick her out of the pin attempt when she noticed that she was also part of it.

Instead, the match was seemingly a draw for both women and now they will face off next week.

Bayley will face Naomi one-on-one next week on WWE SmackDown

Bayley and Naomi have been close friends for a while with the latter backing up Bayley when she was going up against Damage CTRL. It seems that this match between the two women could lead to a heel turn since both stars want a shot at the title.

Bayley lost the WWE Women's Championship to Nia Jax at WWE SummerSlam and has been on the hunt for her rematch. This could be the thing that gets between the two women since they have to fight it out next week and there could be a heel turn looming for one of them. It would be interesting if it's Naomi since she's recently been teaming with Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair.
