A popular WWE Superstar has made bold accusations against Adam Pearce. The RAW General Manager was involved in several backstage conversations with the performers on the latest edition of the show.

In one of the segments, World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh confronted Pearce, demanding a rematch between Balor and Damian Priest. The 46-year-old refused and instead announced a tournament to determine the next challenger for The Judgment Day's titles.

One-half of the World Tag Team Champions, JD McDonagh, took to Instagram Stories earlier today to reshare a post featuring several videos of the segment. He accused Adam Pearce of trying his best to hinder their title reign.

"@scrapdaddyap [Adam Pearce] trying his best to get in the way of this historic World Tag Title reign before we've even got warmed up. 'Obligations.'🙄," wrote McDonagh.

Adam Pearce opens up about the role of a WWE General Manager

Adam Pearce was made an on-screen authority figure in 2020 after playing several roles in the wrestling promotion, both on and off-camera. He was an authority figure on both RAW and SmackDown until Nick Aldis was introduced as the blue brand's new General Manager in October 2023. At the same time, Pearce was announced as the GM of WWE RAW.

During his appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Adam Pearce opened up about the role of a General Manager. He stated that the role of an authority figure is to play a supporting character to the in-ring performers. He added that a GM could play his part in changing the course of an ongoing storyline, but the main focus would always be on the WWE Superstars.

"This position [of a General manager], okay, it's a supporting character on a television show that, by definition, isn't there to overshadow or step on the superstars. They are the beacons that we want the eyes focused on. But the General Manager or the WWE Official that I played for years before that, that's an informational conduit to what you just said, to make sure that everybody understands the context to what is happening with these larger-than-life characters that are on their screens every Monday and every Friday. And sometimes they're the focus of the direction of the story, [and] sometimes the GM is there to change the direction of the story but the story is always about the superstar," he said.

On the latest edition of Monday Night RAW, Pearce had backstage conversations with Seth Rollins and Bronson Reed, with both stars gunning to face each other. Although the match was not made official, the RAW GM might announce the match for WWE Crown Jewel in the upcoming weeks ahead of the premium live event.
