A legendary WWE Superstar recently broke her silence following her major return to in-ring competition in Japan. The name in question is Meiko Satomura.

The 44-year-old joined World Wrestling Entertainment in 2020 and started performing for the company's developmental territory in the United Kingdom, where she won the NXT UK Women's Championship.

In 2022, she debuted on NXT 2.0 in the United States. Satomura's last match in the Stamford-based promotion came on March 7, 2023. She lost to Roxanne Perez in an NXT Women's Championship bout.

Meiko Satomura finally returned to Japan after 1081 days, as she teamed up with Takumi Iroha to lock horns with Chihiro Hashimoto and Yuu at Fortune Dream 9 on June 12, 2024. Before this bout, Satomura last competed inside the squared circle in her home country on June 27, 2021.

The legend recently took to Instagram to break her silence after making a massive return to Japan.

"First domestic fight in three years. Thank you so much for choosing Mr. Komiya. For this day, I've gained seven kgs and pushed through every day. My mentor is Chikane Nagoya! I stood in the ring with my shoulders up. The team that has grown so far [is] 200k, the paintballers. We've separated from three years ago. I'm going to stand in front again!! ️2024.6.12," she wrote. Meiko Satomura is still signed to WWE

Although Meiko Satomura hasn't made any appearances for World Wrestling Entertainment in over a year, she is still signed to the Stamford-based promotion. She played a significant role in elevating the women's division of NXT and NXT UK.

Dave Meltzer previously reported that Satomura was signed by the global juggernaut as a coach. Hence, she might be focusing on her off-screen duties amid her WWE in-ring absence.

Several Japanese talents are still performing at the highest level in WWE. Asuka, Kairi Sane, and Shinsuke Nakamura have also impressed many with their work in the global juggernaut. Meanwhile, IYO SKY faced Bayley in a high-profile Women's Title match at this year's WrestleMania.

Many fans believe Meiko Satomura should return to World Wrestling Entertainment TV soon. It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based promotion has planned for the Japanese legend's potential comeback.
