Kurt Angle is arguably one of the best wrestlers who competed under Vince McMahon in WWE. The 55-year-old veteran recently talked about the time when Mr. McMahon fined him $8,000.

Kurt Angle retired from in-ring competition at WrestleMania 35 after losing to Baron Corbin. He was regarded as one of the best wrestlers in the world during his earlier days in WWE.

The WWE Hall of Famer appeared on Notsam Wrestling to discuss his illustrious career. He highlighted the time when he worked with Stone Cold Steve Austin and produced skits.

The host, Sam Roberts, talked about how the skits seemed like something out of Saturday Night Live (SNL), where actors tried to make each other break character. Kurt Angle agreed to the same and revealed that Vince McMahon fined him for breaking character four times.

"Vince (McMahon) said, 'Hey, we're going to do these pre-tapes, but last week was a disaster because you guys kept breaking characters. You guys kept laughing. So, this week, if you break character, you get fined $2,000.' So, I got fined $8,000 because I broke character four different times. I started getting serious. I was like, 'I can't do that anymore, I'm going to lose all my money.' So, I wouldn't break character anymore, I don't know how I was able to do it," Kurt Angle said. [H/T WrestlingINC]

Despite the heavy fine, Kurt Angle and Vince McMahon worked together for almost ten years. The 55-year-old was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017.

Former WWE head writer believes Kurt Angle would work with Vince McMahon again

Vince McMahon had to step down from his position in WWE due to some legal problems. Fans will probably never see him in the promotion he made once again.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo believes a few loyal superstars would follow Mr. McMahon if he made a new wrestling promotion. He named Kurt Angle along with John Cena and The Undertaker who would likely join him.

"Obviously these people can't be back full-time. I think he could get people like 'Taker working for him again. I think he could get people like Kurt working for him again. I don't know what Cena's obligations are with the WWE, but Cena would be loyal to him. Bro, I'm telling you, like this [clicks fingers]. If he were innocent and he's clean, a network would pick up a Vince McMahon wrestling show, no questions asked," Vince Russo said.

It also depends on whether Mr. McMahon will be cleared of all charges against him. He could give rise to a new promotion where many current and former superstars could join him to give it a big boost.
