Kevin Owens recently turned on Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. On social media, he made a major announcement after he betrayed his former friends.

For months, Owens teamed up with Rhodes and Orton in their feud against The Bloodline. Following the Bad Blood Premium Live Event, Owens attacked Rhodes, who teamed up with Roman Reigns in the show's main event against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu. Last week on SmackDown, Owens also brawled with Orton.

On X (fka Twitter), The Prizefighter released a video stating that WWE officials have asked him to stay at home. He also tagged Triple H and Stephanie McMahon in his tweet.

"I was going to give them until tonight but I just don’t trust them @WWE @TKOGrp @TripleH @StephMcMahon @RandyOrton," wrote Owens along with his announcement.

Peter Rosenberg believes Kevin Owens could dethrone Cody Rhodes

According to wrestling analyst, Peter Rosenberg, Kevin Owens could be the one to dethrone Cody Rhodes and win the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Speaking on the Cheap Heat podcast, Rosenberg made a bold statement regarding Owens. He said:

"The only reason I would think it's believable is, if you're gonna have the scene of Kevin Owens beating the hell of your top guys, why do that if there is no bigger play for Kevin Owens? Him doing that for no reason wouldn't make sense."

Rhodes won the world title at WrestleMania XL and has successfully defended it against every top superstar who has challenged him, including AJ Styles, Logan Paul, and Solo Sikoa. He has also defended his gold against Owens, whom he defeated at the Bash In Berlin Premium Live Event on August 31.

Owens, a former multi-time champion in WWE, hasn't held any gold in months. His last title victory was at WrestleMania 39 when he captured the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship with Sami Zayn. At this year's Show of Shows, The Prizefighter unsuccessfully challenged for the United States Championship.

It remains to be seen if WWE plans to move forward with Owens as a potential challenger for Rhodes' championship.
