Jey Uso was recently in action at the WWE live event in Mexico. He unsuccessfully challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Post-match, Priest helped Jey up to his feet in a shocking turn of events. On social media, the former multi-time Tag Team Champion sent a two-word message, reflecting on WWE's live event in Mexico.

Taking to his Instagram story, Jey expressed his gratitude for the WWE Universe in Mexico.

Check out a screenshot of Jey's Instagram story:

"THANKS MEXICO," wrote Uso.

This wasn't the first time Jey was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the World Heavyweight Championship. At Backlash France, he failed to beat Priest after interference from The Judgment Day.

Uso and The Judgment Day have been involved in segments on RAW before as well. After what happened at the live event in Mexico, maybe the creative will book an angle with Jey Uso and Damian Priest moving forward.

Rikishi wants WWE to put the championship on Jey Uso

Rikishi has urged WWE to put the Intercontinental Championship or any other singles title on Jey Uso.

Speaking on the Rikishi Off The Top podcast, Rikishi described Jey's incredible work ethic. He said:

"What is is that we got to do to give Yeet a chance to finally, after 17 years plus years, blood, sweat and tears, he gave it to you all everything. His mind, body, and soul. Wouldn't you think after all these years to finally crown him and make him earn it because he damn sure earned it. Crown him as an Intercontinental Champion or whatever other champion belt they got."

Since breaking away from The Bloodline, Jey Uso has focused on his singles career. He has switched to Monday Night RAW where he established himself as one of the most popular superstars on the roster. Unfortunately. the 38-year-old is yet to win a singles championship. He did capture the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships with Cody Rhodes.
