Jey Uso has a new lurking challenger for the WWE Intercontinental Championship

'Main Event' Jey Uso is scheduled to defend the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Bron Breakker on the October 21 Monday Night RAW. Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio is eyeing the title.

Jey Uso and Rhea Ripley's program has not been highlighted as much as some of the other WWE storylines centered around a romantic angle. Nevertheless, their potential union has sent fans into a frenzy. Ripley's former on-screen boyfriend, Dominik Mysterio, appears to have moved on from her and made an emphatic statement recently while discussing what is next for The Judgment Day.

Speaking on Foundation Radio, 'Dirty' Dom addressed the fact that there are three champions already in the group, which means it is time for him to win a belt. He then went on to claim that there is "unfinished business" with Jey Uso and that he wants the IC Championship:

"I would say I have unfinished business with Jey Uso. There's something he has that I might want. Not might, there is something he has that I want, and that's definitely not Rhea," he said. [From 9:24 to 9:36]

It remains to be seen if WWE will pull the trigger on a potential program between Jey Uso and Dominik Mysterio. There was an earlier report which stated that the eventual direction Triple H & Co. are heading towards is to crown the 27-year-old as the IC Champion. Mysterio has not won a singles title on the main roster yet.

Dominik Mysterio hopes to score huge win over a former World Heavyweight Champion before going after Jey Uso

Seth 'Freakin' Rollins announced that he is scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio in his first match since returning to WWE after a two-month hiatus. The bout will take place on Friday Night SmackDown, October 25. Rollins and the young Mysterio are no strangers to one another.

The Mysterio family were involved in a bitter rivalry back in 2020 with the former World Heavyweight Champion, which led to Dom's in-ring debut at SummerSlam. When asked about facing The Visionary by the host Adam Barnard, 'Dirty' Dom revealed his strategy involving his new girlfriend, Liv Morgan:

"If I get the opportunity, I am going to make sure that Seth is tied up in the ropes, and I'm going to, hopefully Liv will be there, hand her a kendo stick while she is on the outside. I'll take a kendo stick while I'm on the inside, and while Seth is tied up within the ropes like this, I'm going to beat the living sh** out of him with the kendo stick, like he did to me," Mysterio said, referring to their past history. Dom's father, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, broke character earlier this year to praise Seth Rollins for how the latter took care of his son. The luchador legend called Rollins a "general" in the ring.
