A wrestling veteran recently put WWE Superstar Jacob Fatu under fire following a backstage segment on SmackDown. Jim Cornette is a huge fan of The Samoan Werewolf but he urged him to make some massive changes to how he performs in certain situations including matches.
On the September 20 episode of SmackDown, Bloodline members Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu entered the arena and were checked by security. Fatu didn't like it one bit and began attacking the personnel with headbutts and superkicks.
Speaking on the latest episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the former WWE manager expressed his disappointment with how the company is booking Fatu at the moment. Cornette admitted that he's always been impressed with The Samoan Werewolf but urged him to stop using headbutts and superkicks on non-wrestling staff just to get heat.
"Jacob Fatu needs to quit doing these f*cking headbutts. Because it's his go-to, it's his nervous tick now in a match. If he's not ready to do the next other thing, he's going to headbutt a guy or do the headbutt backstage. They don't look that good. He's got so many things that he can do that look amazing... He needs to drastically cut back on them."
The 63-year-old wrestling veteran added:
"The reason why that he has gotten over more quickly than anybody else in The Bloodline saga has gotten over when they were first introduced is because he can do all that impressive stuff and they have had him do it to top main event talent. But if they start making him another one of these regular guys that is doing way too much bulls*it in the back to people. If they want to get him over as a real life tough guy, let him snatch a motherf*cker by the neck and intimidate him and shove him down on his a*s. Jacob Fatu has been booked liked an unstoppable force since making his debut on the June 21 episode of SmackDown. Fatu has not been pinned and continues to be a difference-maker for The Bloodline.
WWE Hall of Famer not a fan of Jacob Fatu's push
Jacob Fatu is put in the spotlight once again, this time teaming up with Solo Sikoa to take on Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes at WWE Bad Blood on October 5 in Atlanta, Georgia. Fatu has also been protected and carefully booked by the company although Rikishi is not a fan of it:
"This is my humble opinion, I think Jacob’s being pushed too fast. When you go to Cody, where do you go from there? Cody is the guy right now. I’ve said this before, let Jacob rampage through the whole roster, give him those enhancement matches to build him," Rikishi said on his Off The Top podcast. [H/T: Fightful]
