The New Day is arguably one of WWE's biggest creations that went through a major change after Big E got injured. Recently, E addressed a potential split between Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods.

Lately, The Final Testament has been trying to create a divide between The New Day, as Karrion Kross suggested Xavier Woods break out on his own by abandoning Kofi Kingston on WWE RAW.

In an interview with Chris Vannini on Getting Over: Wrestling Podcast, Big E addressed the ongoing storyline on Monday Night RAW and the current state of The New Day as a duo.

"Yeah, you know, obviously those are my brothers for life. There is a bit of a crux. Like, we have spent so much time at the top of the tag team division. Kofi [Kingston] being World Champion, I got an opportunity to be World Champion, and [Xavier] Woods is King of the Ring. After the run in the NXT, I feel like now, where do we fit here? I feel like it's a bit of a crossroads for them figuring out what they want to do," E said. (From 1:14:43 to 1:15:12)

E also stated he hasn't left them and believes the duo has a lot left in the tank. However, it's up to them whether they want to split or not.

"I feel like this is something they need to go through. Something they need to handle it as well and figure it out. Kofi's in his 40s now, and Woods is in his late 30s. I still think they have a ton more to offer, and whether they do that as a collective? Whether they do that as singles? I feel it's an interesting time for them to see which direction they would go," E said. (From 1:15:22 to 1:15:45)

Big E's injury shocked many around professional wrestling, as the career-threatening neck injury has indefinitely put him on the shelf. However, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods carried the faction's legacy and went to NXT in 2022.

The two stars captured the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship from Pretty Deadly. After a short run, they lost the title to Gallus at NXT Vengeance Day and returned to WWE's main roster.
