This week's WWE Monday Night RAW saw a shocking betrayal as Alpha Academy member Maxxine Dupri was backstabbed by a close friend. Following the show, the 27-year-old star shared her reaction to the unexpected turn of events.

During the August 12, 2024, installment of the red brand, Otis and Akira Tozawa battled Julius and Brutus Creed of the American Made faction, which is led by Chad Gable. In the closing moments of the contest, Ivy Nile launched an attack on her former tag partner, Dupri.

This marked the heel turn of the 32-year-old star as she joined forces with American Made. Nile's distraction led to the Creed Brothers defeating the Alpha Academy members.

In an exclusive WWE RAW interview, Cathy Kelley asked the Alpha Queen to share her reaction to Ivy’s surprise attack. Breaking her silence, Maxxine Dupri revealed she was suffering both physically and emotionally and expressed heartbreak over losing one of her closest friends.

"Look, I'm in pain, physically, emotionally, I'm heartbroken. She [Ivy Nile] was one of my closest friends here, and this is why they [Alpha Academy] are my family, the only people I can trust around here," said Dupri. (From 0:16 to 0:27)

WWE star Chad Gable praises Maxxine Dupri

It was Chad Gable who welcomed the 27-year-old female star into the Alpha Academy faction last year. The leader of American Made spoke highly of Dupri.

During an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet, Master Gable discussed Maxxine Dupri's progress over the past few months as she learned to wrestle live on WWE television, week after week.

"How unique of a situation to where she's really learning to wrestle week by week in front of a live TV audience. Because at the time she wasn't even doing live events, all she was doing was coming to TV and learning there to work, and then go into the Performance Center in Orlando. But we got to a point where we knew she was going to start having some singles matches. And to her credit, she asked me to get in the ring with her at shows before TV and stuff, which of course I did," Gable said. [H/T: CVV]
