The WWE under Triple H is all about freshness and the introduction of new faces regularly. Last night on SmackDown, one of the blue brand's newest acquisitions, Lash Legend, picked up a win over Piper Niven and Bill Apter revealed he enjoyed the match. Legend, a member of the Meta-Four stable, has been in the WWE for four years and has developed into a promising talent in the NXT women's division.

Lash wrestled her first SmackDown match alongside tag team partner Jakara Jackson to challenge the Women's Tag Team Champions, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill.

This week, Legend took on the physically imposing Piper Niven, and not only did she hold her own but also scored her first singles win on the main roster. While speaking on Smack Talk, Bill Apter called the women's match excellent and liked what Lash Legend brought to the table.

"Yeah yeah, I was very impressed with her. She and Piper Niven were excellent together and she was able to showcase what she could do with an opponent like Piper Niven." [From 23:39 to 23:55]

Elsewhere on the show, WWE mentioned the Speed Championships, with Andrade and Candice LeRae the current title holders of the men's and women's divisions, respectively. Candice was in action on SmackDown and WWE acknowledged the Speed Title during the show, which Bill Apter believed, would have confused the fanbase.

The legendary journalist explained:

"I don't think so. It probably had a lot of fans scratching their heads and going like, what is the Speed title? Yeah!" [22:48 to 22:58]

The latest SmackDown episode also featured segments involving Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa's Bloodline, and Jey Uso. Cody Rhodes also built up his match against Gunther and might have done something massive for the Crown Jewel Championship.
