The WWE Hall of Fame is one of the biggest honors in pro wrestling and is reserved for selected fraternity members. However, Jeff Hardy allegedly rejected when the company tried to induct him into their Hall of Fame. The legendary star recently revealed the reason behind the same.

Jeff is one of the most popular WWE stars of all time. The Charismatic Enigma and his brother Matt Hardy changed the landscape of tag team wrestling as the Hardy Boyz had era-defining rivalries with Edge and Christian and the Dudley Boyz. Jeff also had significant success as a singles wrestler and was one of the fans' favorites.

During a recent chat with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Jeff Hardy was asked about his thoughts on a possible Hall of Fame induction. While Sean was asking about the TNA Hall of Fame, Jeff thought he meant WWE and revealed why he rejected their offer last time.

"I denied it. I was just in a bad place after my dad had passed away. I just got to a point where there was no return, something had to happen, but it just didn’t feel right when they offered it to me." [From 6:08 - 6:18]

Jeff Hardy left WWE in 2021

Jeff Hardy returned to the sports entertainment juggernaut in 2017 for a third stint along with Matt Hardy. The duo were revealed as the last-minute participants in the ladder match for the Raw Tag Team Championship and ended up winning the title. However, the duo were separated shortly after their title reign came to an end.

The Charismatic Engima had a good singles run before he was released from the company in 2021. Jeff walked out during a tag team match on the live circuit, after which he was sent home from the tour. The news of his release came to light a few days later.

Jeff Hardy ended up joining Matt Hardy in AEW to reform their tag team. However, the duo did not have much success in the company.
