A former WWE Superstar recently discussed the crazy conversation between Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon shared by Paul Heyman on the Mr. McMahon docuseries by Netflix. Nic Nemeth, formerly known as Dolph Ziggler, thought that kind of chat didn't happen just once.

In one of the most viral clips from the docuseries, Heyman famously recalled a conversation between Vince and Shane during a creative meeting. It escalated quickly with the father telling his son to stab him in the heart to run things his way in WWE.

On a recent episode of Busted Open, Nemeth was asked about his thoughts about the interaction between Vince and Shane. He was not surprised it happened and didn't question the story's authenticity. The Showoff even claimed that it could have happened multiple times over the years.

"I completely believe some version of that story happened possibly a hundred times. But there was constantly a test but also if you are handing over the keys to this thing that you created that is bigger than life, you have like, not the medieval sense the way Vince probably thinks sometimes, but in a business or life sense. Like I can't just hand this over. I need to know that they are truly behind it not kind of behind it and there's some money and it's already killing it and I can go retire. I need to know that they truly believe in these ideas and what they think and taking over and so I could totally see that happening and I bet that was not the first time," Nemeth said. Shane McMahon sought the approval of Vince McMahon and finally got it at WrestleMania 32 following his Hell in a Cell Match against The Undertaker. Shane wanted to inherit WWE from his father, but Vince had other plans and sold it to Endeavor last year.

Nic Nemeth on Shane McMahon giving him a call after his WWE release

On the same episode of Busted Open, Nic Nemeth shared how Shane McMahon personally called him after WWE released him following a 19-year tenure. The former World Heavyweight Champion appreciated the gesture by Shane-O-Mac, who said a lot of nice things to him.

"One of the absolute first people who called me when I left WWE, which is awesome because that's just says [sic] about [him]. You know everyone can send you a text and do things, like he called and he does phone calls and not texts and just had really nice things to say and I've always liked working with him," Nemeth said. Nemeth was released in September last year and joined TNA Wrestling. He's currently the TNA World Champion but also makes occasional appearances for New Japan Pro-Wrestling and AAA.
