How Crown Jewel main event could affect Gunther, WWE legend weighs in

Gunther successfully retained the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of last Monday's two-hour episode of WWE RAW. In the show's closing moments, he was confronted by Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes.

WWE legend Jim Cornette discussed The American Nightmare vs. The Ring General happening at Crown Jewel, and what it means for the World Heavyweight Champion, whom he believes will most definitely take the loss in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking on Jim Cornette's Drive Thru, Cornette noted how WWE is considering this match for the upcoming event for the "50 million dollars," so it is a special attraction. However, the concept of champion vs. champion will wear out soon, the veteran believes.

"I don't think at this point it would hurt [Gunther] — I wouldn't do it just for nothing, just for a regular show. For 50 million dollars, I may take the chance. But I think that Cody has to win that one, and you know how big of a fan of Gunther I am. But I think also, they can probably do it in such a way to give Gunther an out, that is worth the 50 million dollars," Jim Cornette said. [From 5:58 to 6:26]

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther needs a challenger like Brock Lesnar, says The Undertaker

While discussing a number of topics, The Undertaker revealed he also hopes to witness Gunther vs. Brock Lesnar at some point, much like a large section of the WWE Universe.

While the champion's title defense against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin was praised, it received flack for predictability. On the other hand, his program with Sami Zayn was denounced by many. According to The Deadman, Lesnar is a "different animal", and the champ needs someone like The Beast in order to reach an even higher level.

"Brock's a different animal in what he does, in his approach. Everything he does, you understand. Brock doesn't do anything crazy. But everything that he does means something. And it's scary, and it's violent, and it's easy to understand that you should not be on the receiving end of anything that Brock does," he said.

The Undertaker also named CM Punk as The Ring General's potential WrestleMania 41 challenger. He believes the two can tear the roof down should the bout happen for the World Heavyweight Championship.
