A WWE Hall of Famer recently went through a shocking and humiliating experience on Monday Night RAW a few weeks ago. So far, the veteran hasn’t made an appearance following the incident at the show. Now, Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio has made an appearance outside the company.

Rey Mysterio fought a singles match against Xavier Woods after an altercation between the two superstars. Notably, The New Day member was of the opinion that the Hall of Famer thought less of him since he had never been a world champion in WWE. However, this unexplained aggression by Woods took a darker turn when he unmasked Mysterio during his match.

Although he looked shocked and swore that it was an accident, he didn’t hesitate to pin Mysterio and pick up an opportunistic win. While the LWO leader hasn’t returned to RAW after this, he recently added a story on Instagram where he was seen enjoying a Las Vegas Raiders game. Interestingly, he also shared the frame with Titus O’Neil, Samantha Irvin, and Raiders player Marcus Preston.

Here is a screengrab of Mysterio’s story:

So far, Xavier Woods hasn’t apologized to Rey Mysterio and is repeatedly saying that he was in the right.

Xavier Woods explains his case to the WWE Universe

Xavier Woods appeared in an interview ahead of WWE Bad Blood where he was asked about the unmasking incident of Rey Mysterio. Commenting on it, The New Day member argued how one incident made him the bad guy when several other superstars have a clean image.

He also highlighted the reign of terror Roman Reigns had as the Undisputed WWE Champion to justify his case.

"No, I don't understand why one accident changes my whole trajectory of what my personality is. When let's say, for instance, okay, so, let me paint a picture for you. Okay. Roman Reigns was in The Bloodline. Right? Terrorized the entire roster, yourself included, and yourself included, for years, right? Sure. Now, the music hits, people are like, it's a second coming. Right. I did one thing that was bad, on accident, and I'm public enemy number one. I don't understand this,” said Woods.

Right now, Woods is still mad about his loss against Jey Uso in a WWE Intercontinental Championship match. It would be interesting to see if and when he turns heel after weeks of teasing a change in character.
