Gunther has been a heel since his main roster debut nearly two years ago. However, a WWE analyst believes he will eventually turn babyface and defend his title against a two-time champion.

The ex-champion in question is Ludwig Kaiser. The 34-year-old has been The Ring General's associate since their arrival on the main roster. He even introduced the World Heavyweight Champion last night at Bash in Berlin before his title match against Randy Orton. However, WWE analyst Sam Roberts feels that Kaiser would eventually challenge his Imperium leader for the championship.

On his Notsam Wrestling podcast, the 40-year-old predicted that The Ring General would put his title on the line against his Imperium teammate after turning babyface. Nevertheless, he pointed out that it would not happen soon:

"At some point, I feel like Gunther's gonna turn babyface and Ludwig Kaiser is going to be an opponent for Gunther. I just, I don't think we're there yet," he said. [17:17 - 17:29]

Ludwig Kaiser competed in a title match on WWE SmackDown

Gunther successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Randy Orton at Bash in Berlin. After the premium live event went off the air, Ludwig Kaiser came out through the crowd and to the ring to congratulate the Imperium leader.

A day earlier, Kaiser himself also competed in a championship match. The Monday Night RAW star made a surprise appearance on SmackDown in his home country of Germany to answer LA Knight's open challenge for the United States Championship. Despite putting in a fight, the 34-year-old failed to dethrone The Megastar.

Kaiser has yet to hold any championships on the main roster. Meanwhile, he won the NXT Tag Team Titles twice alongside Giovanni Vinci during his stint on WWE's third brand. It would be interesting to see if he would soon get another title shot.
