Monday's WWE RAW featured some more build for Bad Blood before next week's go-home episode. Gunther continues to dodge his next challenger, and this week he continued his recent antics with a bit of comedy. The veteran Superstar is once again being praised by one of his few on-air supporters.

The supporter in question is former King of the Ring Wade Barrett. The Ring General has denied Sami Zayn a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship for weeks. While the match has been in the works for Bad Blood, Zayn's challenge has been repeatedly turned down. The speculation is that Sami vs. Gunther will be announced next week, but that has not been confirmed.

The Great Liberator defeated Ludwig Kaiser on this week's episode of RAW but was then confronted by Gunther. The Imperium leader paced around at ringside while recalling how Zayn has spent weeks begging for a title shot. Gunther began to act as if he were about to grant the request as he said RAW in Ontario, CA was the perfect place to step in and tell Zayn... no!

The Bull From Vienna then laughed and dropped the mic, while Wade Barrett chuckled on commentary. The RAW commentator took to Instagram today to continue the public praise for Gunther while taking a friendly jab at colleague Joe Tessitore. Barrett included a photo that shows him laughing at the 37-year-old champion.

"Outside of @joetess incessantly YEETING, #WWERaw was one hell of a good time. This was me laughing at @gunther_wwe’s comedy routine. The Ring General has strong comedy chops to go alongside his strong ‘chop’ chops. [raised hand emoji]," Wade Barrett wrote with the photo below.

WWE's televised singles series between Gunther and Sami is currently at 1-1. The former WALTER defeated Zayn on RAW in June 2023, but Sami then ended Gunther's historic Intercontinental Championship reign at WrestleMania XL in April.

Gunther and Sami Zayn set for go-home WWE RAW

World Wrestling Entertainment will return to the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana for next week's RAW. This will be the final episode before Bad Blood.

WWE has not officially announced Sami Zayn and Gunther for next week's RAW, but they are both being advertised to appear on the company website.

Zayn vs. Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship has been in the works for Bad Blood, and if it does come to fruition it would break a recent PLE tradition. Next week's RAW will also feature Rey Mysterio vs. Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston vs. Chad Gable, and a Last Monster Standing match with Braun Strowman vs. Bronson Reed.
