A popular WWE tag team continues to tease a potential breakup heading into the SummerSlam Premium Live Event. The tag team in question is A-Town Down Under.

Amid regular teases of potentially parting ways, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to DIY last month of SmackDown. After losing the titles, the duo challenged Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa for a championship match the following week but could not secure a win. After the contest ended, The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu took out everyone except the Aussie Icon, who managed to flee.

Waller has been throwing Theory under the bus for the last few weeks. However, this time around, the former United States Champion was the one to upset his tag team partner as he brought along the Cleveland Browns' mascot, Chomps, and the Cleveland Cavaliers' mascot, Sir CC. Grayson Waller wasn't amused watching the mascots, especially Chomps, as he left, claiming he did not like the latter.

Former WWE Champion is impressed with Austin Theory

Austin Theory has had an interesting WWE career thus far. He won the 2022 Money in the Bank ladder match and looked set to win a World Championship. However, he tried to cash in his contract for the United States Championship. Unfortunately, Boby Lashley's involvement helped the champion, Seth Rollins, retain the title.

Theory ultimately tasted victory a few weeks later, defeating Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match at Survivor Series: WarGames to win the United States Championship for the second time. The 27-year-old then won the tag team titles at WrestleMania XL alongside Grayson Waller.

In a conversation with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Senior Editor, Bill Apter, former WWE Champion Randy Orton showered praise on Theory. The Viper stated that he believes the latter is more motivated than he was at the same age. Orton further claimed that Theory will become the World Champion one day.

"It's hard, I don't have a crystal ball or anything, but Austin Theory is young and he's got a great look. I know where his head's at. I've had plenty of talks with him, and a lot of the things that I did as a kid that I maybe shouldn't have, the distractions that I was confronted with, he doesn't have those. I think he's just a little more gung-ho, motivated. He sees the goal, he sees the prize, he knows what he wants. I think he'll definitely be a world champion one day," he said.

With several repeated teases of a potential breakup, it remains to be seen when Waller and Theory eventually part ways.
