Former WWE Superstars are known to share inside scoops with fans and media once their time with the promotion comes to an end. Two recently released talents are using humor to reveal how an unexpected payday stopped an interview against the biggest pro wrestling company in the world, and how faction royalties are handled.

World Wrestling Entertainment released Maximum Male Models in September 2023, along with other budget-cut releases. Mace aka ma.çé and Mansoor aka mån.sôör had been on SmackDown with Maxxine Dupri and Max Dupri, but in September 2022 the Max character was done away with in favor of LA Knight. The trio was drafted to RAW, but Maxxine left Mace and Mansoor for Alpha Academy. At the time of their departures, Maximum Male Models had been inactive for just over four months.

Mansoor recently spoke with Fightful Select and revealed how he almost did an interview to bury his former employer. However, he held off on the public burial when their royalty checks were deposited. The Saudi grappler then joked that he loves the promotion formerly known as the World Wrestling Federation, and began singing, "It's all about The Game, and how you play it."

Mace also told a story about WWE royalties. The former RETRIBUTION member revealed that royalties were split six ways when the six-person faction was active. He also recalled how he designed the RETRIBUTION t-shirt, but was not paid as he did the design for free.

Mace and Mansoor had their final WWE match on May 15, 2023 - a RAW Battle Royal. Their last tag team match on standard WWE TV was a SmackDown loss to Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde on January 20 of last year. They also came up short against The O.C. on Main Event in early March.

MxM ink first major contracts since WWE

Maximum Male Models are now known as MxM or MxM Collection. Mace aka ma.çé and Mansoor aka mån.sôör were released by World Wrestling Entertainment in September 2023, and began finding success in various indie promotions.

The duo debuted for Tony Khan's ROH earlier this month with a teaser vignette. It was then reported that Mason Madden and Mansoor have signed a contract to work for AEW and ROH, but since then sources have confirmed that they are signed exclusively to Ring of Honor for now.

MxM recently discussed what they can bring to the table in AEW and ROH. The tag team stars made headlines this year for helping the viral Soft Ground Wrestling of Uganda promotion.
