The Bloodline took out some of their rivals on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown before Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes showed up to save Kevin Owens. Former Tag Team Champion Montez Ford was one of the stars to receive the beating at the hands of the heel faction. He delivered a defiant message on social media in a recently shared update.

In the main event of the September 20 edition of the blue brand's show, The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa were announced to face the team of DIY and former Universal Champion Kevin Owens. However, the Solo Sikoa-led group took out the former WWE Tag Team Champions backstage. As DIY couldn't join Owens, The Street Profits came out to team up with the latter.

The six-man tag team match ended abruptly after Tonga Loa broke a pinfall attempt by dragging The Prizefighter out of the ring and shoving him into the steel steps, leading the referee to end the bout in a no-contest. However, it did not stop The Bloodline from attacking their opponents even after the bell rang. DIY came out to help the babyfaces but to no avail before.

Eventually, The American Nightmare ran in with a chair to save the day. After taking a beating at the hands of the villainous group, Montez Ford took to his Instagram account to send a defiant message as he shared multiple pictures of himself.

"Main Character Energy," he wrote.

Wrestling veteran calls out WWE for recent Bloodline segment

The latest edition of WWE SmackDown started with a video of The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu beating down a guard during a security check while entering the arena. Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell shared his honest opinion on the segment.

During this week's episode of Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk, Mantell mentioned that the wrestling performers would have been arrested had they assaulted security personnel in real life. The 74-year-old questioned the believability of the segment.

"Let's look at that for a minute. Beating up security. I mean, are these guys immune to the police? When you beat up the security, wouldn't the police show up and take you out of there? That's not believable. They can push them and be aggressive and they'd have been better off, I think," he said. [14:23 onwards]
