Former WWE champion reaches out to Adam Pearce; talks about dealing with CM Punk for costing him his title

Adam Pearce almost always finds himself buried under several personal requests by the wrestlers on WWE RAW. This week, he was approached by a former WWE champion who wanted to pin his recent title loss on CM Punk. The name in question is former NXT Champion Ethan Page.

The former NXT Champion recently lost his title to Trick Williams on the inaugural episode of NXT on the CW Network. Notably, CM Punk was the special guest referee of the match. Page was visibly upset with Punk during the match and didn’t believe the Chicago native was counting fairly when he tried to pin Williams.

During the latest episode of RAW, he reached out to Adam Pearce and asked if he could have a word with him about Punk costing him his title. However, the RAW General Manager said that The Second City Saint wasn’t appointed as the match official by him, but by Ava. The NXT GM was right there, but said she wasn’t taking any complaints since she was off the clock.

Frustrated, All Ego asked Ava what she was doing at RAW if she wasn’t working. The question was answered when Sexyy Red walked in and hugged both Ava and Adam Pearce. Ethan Page also tried to get a handshake in with the musical sensation. However, Red wiped the smile off the former champ’s face when she said that Trick Willy asked her to say hello to him, causing him to walk away.

While Page did not get his wishes on RAW, his visit to Adam Pearce did give him a definitive answer regarding Punk’s involvement. It would be interesting to see how he presents his case to Ava on NXT this week.
