Ex-WWE employee ridicules brand split after Nia Jax and another SmackDown star show up on RAW (Exclusive)

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo recently spoke about WWE Women's Champion Nia Jax showing up on RAW this week. The 40-year-old star made a surprise appearance during the main event.

Jax is getting ready for a huge clash against Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel 2024 to become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. This week, Nia and Tiffany Stratton, who are SmackDown Superstars, showed up on the red brand, causing more chaos to proceedings.

While speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW podcast, Russo claimed that the brand split had no meaning anymore. He questioned how SmackDown roster members such as Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax were on RAW without any explanation. The former WWE head writer felt that fans would still get hyped for the brand split next year only for the Stamford-based company to completely disregard it in the months to follow.

"It's like the brand split is at the point of being ridiculous. They're gonna do it all over again whenever and everybody's gonna be all into it. I don't get it," Vince Russo said. [10:21 - 10:38]

This week on RAW, The Buff Barbie tried to cash in her Money in the Bank contract on Morgan after the main event. However, her attempts were foiled by Dominik Mysterio, who made the save for Liv.

It will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old star can cash in her contract at Crown Jewel 2024 when Liv Morgan squares off against Nia Jax.
