Dominik Mysterio shares tribute to his "real father" on his birthday

Dominik Mysterio shared a tribute to a WWE legend today on his birthday. Dirty Dom was trapped inside a shark cage during the Women's World Championship match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley at Bad Blood.

Eddie Guerrero would have celebrated his 57th birthday today. The WWE legend tragically passed away in 2005, but his contributions to the wrestling business are still remembered to this day. Eddie Guerrero once battled Rey Mysterio in a Ladder Match at SummerSlam 2005, with custody of Dominik Mysterio on the line during the match. Vickie Guerrero got involved in the match and helped Rey Mysterio emerge victorious.

Dominik Mysterio took to social media today to pay tribute to Guerrero on his birthday, and you can check it out in his Instagram post below.

Raquel Rodriguez returned from her WWE hiatus at Bad Blood and interfered in the Women's World Championship match. The 33-year-old attacked Rhea Ripley to end the match via disqualification, but Liv Morgan remains the reigning Women's World Champion following Bad Blood.

Former WWE star makes bold prediction for Dominik Mysterio's career

Wrestling veteran Alberto Del Rio recently made a massive prediction about Dominik Mysterio's future in the company.

In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, the former champion praised Mysterio as a performer. The veteran noted that Mysterio had done a great job of getting out of his father's shadow on WWE television.

"He's killing it. He's doing a fantastic job. It makes me so happy to see this story of success because I know we work for the fans, but sometimes the fans are a little bit unfair, and I remember fans destroying Dominik Mysterio years ago, just bashing him about stuff and comparing him with his dad. But he never wanted to be like his dad. Of course, he learned from the best, he learned from Rey Mysterio and many others, but he was just trying to find his character, his persona in the industry. He did it already and he's killing it." [6:19 – 7:09]

Del Rio also predicted that the Judgment Day star would capture a major championship by the beginning of 2025.

"I'm telling you this, Dominik is gonna be a World Champion pretty soon, probably at the beginning of next year." [7:10 – 7:18]

Mysterio was previously involved in a storyline relationship with Rhea Ripley but betrayed his former stablemate at SummerSlam earlier this year in favor of Liv Morgan.
