Clash at the Castle was held in Glasgow, Scotland last night. The premium live event saw the top stars of WWE show up and give the fans a night to remember.
Clash at the Castle saw four title matches. Cody Rhodes managed to retain his Undisputed WWE Title against AJ Styles in an I Quit match. Bayley and Damian Priest too managed to retain their titles while the WWE Universe saw Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn win the Women's Tag Team Titles.
Bayley had a busy night as she was pitted against Piper Niven for her WWE Women's Title on her birthday. Other talent had a surprise planned for her after her match. Piper Niven contested for the title in front of her hometown but was unable to walk out as champion. The birthday girl, Bayley retained her title and was greeted with a surprise when she made her way to the back.
In the Clash at the Castle post show, Triple H detailed how the talent surprised Bayley with a cake to celebrate her special day. He said that it was a heartwarming moment amid the show.
What happened after Clash at the Castle went off the air?
The premium live event ended in controversial fashion as Drew McIntyre was unable to capture the World Heavyweight Title in front of his home crowd. The Scottish Warrior had Damian Priest down for the three count but the referee was out cold at the moment.
The WWE Universe saw another official run down to the ring but it turned out to be CM Punk in disguise. The former AEW star counted till two and stopped, only to attack McIntyre and cost him the title. After the show went off the air, an irate McIntyre went after Corey Graves. However, Wade Barrett was able to take charge of the situation and walked the challenger out of the main stage.
Now the action shifts back to the US and fans are eager to see what comes next on WWE RAW. In a twist, Punk also declared he will be missing RAW this week for a doctor's appointment. Is this a curveball thrown by Punk? The WWE Universe will have to wait till Monday night to know for sure.
