Destructive tag team makes sudden return to WWE RAW after a year - Spoiler

A popular tag team made a return to WWE RAW after a year in emphatic fashion. This team destroyed their opponents.

The War Raiders, which consists of Erik and Ivar, have proven themselves to be one of the most destructive tag teams in WWE. While they have not had the success they would have liked, they have still managed to carve out a path of destruction. After a successful stint in NXT where they won the NXT Tag Team Championship, the War Raiders moved onto the main roster where they were rebranded as The Viking Raiders.

However, this new gimmick and rebranding did little to give them the push they deserved. Although they held the RAW Tag Team Championship for 98 days, they have been on the losing end of most of their matches over the last few years. To make matters worse, Erik suffered an injury last year and had to undergo neck fusion surgery which kept him out of action for several months. Their last match as a tag team was on the September 15, 2023, episode of SmackDown against the Alpha Academy.

Tonight, WWE taped next week's episode of RAW in advance since several of the talent will be on tour in Europe. During the tapings, The Viking Raiders made their return as the War Raiders and faced the Alpha Academy. It did not take long for them to assert their dominance and pick up the win.

It will be interesting to see if this will be the beginning of a massive push for the War Raiders.
