Damian Priest is fresh off a victory over Finn Bálor at WWE Bad Blood. During a recent signing, the former World Heavyweight Champion made it known that he has been paying attention to NXT's Oba Femi.

Oba Femi dropped the NXT North American Championship three days after Bad Blood on CW Network's second NXT episode in St. Louis, Missouri. His reign lasted for a whopping 272 days.

Speaking on UpUpDownDown's Fanatics Fest signing, Damian Priest praised Oba Femi and said Femi is a "megastar" just waiting to explode. The Archer of Infamy admitted to being very impressed by the former NXT North American Champion and also jokingly added that he is not looking forward to it:

"Ridiculously impressive. Especially the fact that his [Oba Femi] limited time in the business and what he can do already — that’s gonna be a megastar. You can just tell sometimes — it’s all setup for him. He just has to not take his foot off the gas, but he’s gonna be fine so, I feel like that’s going to inevitably happen anyway… I’m not looking forward to that one though [laughs]."

On the October 8 episode of NXT, Oba Femi lost the NXT North American Championship to Tony D'Angelo.

Wrestling legend Jim Cornette does not see Finn Bálor as a credible threat to Damian Priest

Damian Priest not only defeated the inaugural Universal Champion at Bad Blood but also single-handedly wiped out The Judgment Day.

Finn Bálor is one-half of the World Tag Team Champion on RAW. However, he is not the threat WWE CCO Triple H & Co. sees through their lens, especially for a guy of Priest's stature. Speaking on his podcast Jim Cornette's Drive Thru, the veteran blasted Bálor's booking:

"Finn Bálor is not a big f***ing big-time top heel. I'm sorry, but he's got the rag in his back pocket and he's wearing sneakers, and he's got the little voice like that, and he's a foot shorter than Priest, and 40 pounds lighter or whatever it is," Cornette said.

The Prince claimed post-match that his war with The Archer of Infamy is far from over. How this plays out in the coming weeks as WWE continues its build to Crown Jewel bears watching.
