WWE commentator Corey Graves was seen firing shots at a prominent WWE name on this week’s episode of SmackDown. Notably, the 43-year-old was speaking to DIY and The Street Profits before they entered the night’s main event match when Graves made the uncalled-for comment. This attack on Byron Saxton generated a reaction from record-breaking champion Xavier Woods who didn’t approve of the commentator’s words.

Saxton is a commentator and backstage interviewer who works on the blue brand. Right after he finished speaking to The Bloodline’s opponents of the night, Corey Graves commented that Saxton’s suit looked as if he had stolen it off a child.

“Thanks, Byron, from the locker room area. You're actually in a locker room. I don't know who the child is, but Byron stole their suit," said Graves.

However, this didn’t sit right with the 11-time WWE tag team champion Xavier Woods who didn’t seem to like what Graves said.

“Wow. @WWEGraves had no reason to come after the size of @ByronSaxton suit!” wrote Woods.

Notably, such banter by commentators is often done in a lighthearted manner, with no intention of attacking anybody personally. While the words of one commentator seemingly upset a former champion on SmackDown, the words of another commentator couldn’t pacify another former champion on WWE RAW.

Drew McIntyre refuses to listen to WWE commentator and longtime friend

This week’s Monday Night RAW saw Drew McIntyre brutally ambush and dismantle CM Punk after sneaking up behind him in a black hoodie. Notably, Punk was standing on the announcer’s table when he was attacked and commentator Wade Barrett promptly got up from his seat and tried to reason with McIntyre.

However, his words evidently failed to pacify The Scottish Psychopath and he ran past him and planted a Claymore on Punk’s face while he was still on the table.

This further escalated into McIntyre breaking The Second City Saint’s fan-made bracelet and delivering another Claymore after forcing the bracelet’s beads inside Punk’s mouth. Moreover, he further attacked Punk’s eyes while he was being taken away on a stretcher.

It would be interesting to see how long The Straight Edge Superstar takes to recover and what his response will be following this brutal attack.
