Sheamus is one of the most accomplished WWE Superstars of all time. The Celtic Warrior has been a part of the pro wrestling world for decades, and today he is celebrating 20 years since his official in-ring debut.

The Irishman began training to become a pro wrestler in 2002. He made his official in-ring debut on July 9, 2004, under the ring name Sheamus O'Shaunessy. The Celtic Warrior competed for Irish Whip Wrestling (IWW) and defeated Burning Spirit (aka Mark Burns) in his first bout. He went on to become a prominent name on the European independent circuit before moving over to the United States.

Today, the 46-year-old posted a picture on X/Twitter to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his IWW debut. He also sent the following message:

"Sheamus O'Shaunessy 'SOS' Irish Whip Wrestling debut. 9th of July 2004."

Sheamus recently completed 15 years with WWE

After honing his wrestling skills on the independent circuit, the veteran joined the global juggernaut in 2009. He made his debut for the global juggernaut on June 30, 2009, and recently celebrated the 15th anniversary of the same.

The Irishman had a rapid ascent to the top, winning the WWE Championship just a few months after appearing on the main roster. Since then, he has won every major title except the Intercontinental Championship during his time with the company. He chased the Intercontinental Title for a while last year but was unable to dethrone then-champion Gunther.

The Celtic Warrior is currently part of the RAW brand. He was sidelined for the second half of last year and returned to action after WrestleMania 40. He was also present on this week's show, where he came out to save former stablemate Pete Dunne from Bronson Reed. However, Dunne did not seem interested in a reunion with the 46-year-old and walked away from him.
