WWE Superstar Tommaso Ciampa took to his Instagram account on July 24 to recall one of the most cherished moments of his career. The star is the reigning WWE Tag Team Champion alongside Johnny Gargano.
For those unaware, Ciampa captured his first singles title in World Wrestling Entertainment back in 2018. He defeated Aleister Black on the July 18, 2018, edition of the former black-and-gold brand to win the NXT Championship. The #DIY member held the title for 238 days before relinquishing it due to an injury.
Tommaso Ciampa took to Instagram today to celebrate the sixth anniversary of his first NXT Championship triumph. The 39-year-old wrote:
"Happy six-year anniversary 🖤💛 Blackheart 🤝 Goldie 2018."

Tommaso Ciampa teases heel turn and hints at partnering with WWE legend
On the July 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller of A-Town Down Under defended their WWE Tag Team Championship against #DIY.
Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa secured a big win and became the new tag team titleholders before Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada. After the 39-year-old champion shared a heartwarming video of his child celebrating the victory, The Rock congratulated him and hinted at a future encounter.
Since The Great One turned heel on the Road to WrestleMania XL, the former NXT Champion had an interesting message for the legend. Ciampa jokingly responded to The Final Boss' comment, stating if he turns heel on his tag team partner, the two shall get in touch.
"Oh, hey, Final Boss. Once I turn on Johnny again, let's talk... Kidding... Kind of," he wrote.
The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu single-handedly destroyed #DIY after they retained their WWE Tag Team Championship against A-Town Down Under on the July 12 episode of SmackDown. Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa will be part of the Number One Contenders Gauntlet Match to determine Gargano and Ciampa's next challengers.
It will be interesting to see how the duo fares in their title reign on SmackDown.
