Cody Rhodes is expected to headline the 2024 SummerSlam at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio. Rhodes has defended the Undisputed WWE Championship twice on premium live events, both against AJ Styles. This time around, it might be against 6-foot-2-inch Solo Sikoa, who has been a thorn by Rhodes' side in the past few weeks.
Rhodes outlasted Styles in an outstanding match in Backlash: France before the two ran it back in an "I Quit" Match at the Clash at the Castle: Scotland earlier this month. With the recent attack from The Bloodline, it seems like Solo Sikoa has set his sights on the Undisputed WWE Championship.
According to Dave Meltzer on the latest episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio, Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa is expected to be the main event of SummerSlam in Cleveland.
"It [Rhodes vs Sikoa] is the planned main event at SummerSlam," Meltzer said. [H/T WrestleTalk TV]
But with one more PLE before SummerSlam, it will be interesting to see what WWE's plans are for Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank.
At first, it looked like The Bloodline was heading for a match against Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. However, the debut of Jacob Fatu might have altered some plans since The Bloodline now has the numbers advantage. Fatu laid out Rhodes, Owens, and Orton in a matter of minutes on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown.

Jacob Fatu laid out Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton on SmackDown. He hit a Samoan Drop on KO into the steel steps, speared Orton through the barricade, and splashed Rhodes into oblivion from the top rope to the announcer's table outside.
Despite the attack, the Undisputed WWE Champion wrestled over the weekend in a couple of live events in Bloomington, Indiana and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Rhodes defeated Shinsuke Nakamura in both matches.
After his win on Saturday in Bloomington, Rhodes spoke to the crowd and revealed that he suffered an injury from Jacob's attack. He had two broken ribs but will continue to wrestle.
"So before you hear it from anybody else, a little scoop for you, Bloomington. Last night, I did break two of my ribs. And the thought was, 'Well, you can take off Bloomington. You can take off Kalamazoo. You can even take off next Friday where the story began in 1978 in New York City. And my answer to that was emphatically, 100% hell no!" Rhodes said.
As mentioned by Rhodes, he is set to appear on next week's episode of SmackDown at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
